Myan Colatat

Myan started training in martial arts at a young age and is now an experienced striker and avid grappler with black belts in multiple disciplines. As an Army Veteran, he understands the value of service and giving back to the community. He holds a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences and MBA/MPH from Rutgers University. His love for education, martial arts, and passion for sharing his knowledge with others inspired him to open Garuda Martial Arts.

Tammy Colatat
Assistant Instructor
Tammy also started her martial arts career early in life. She was a high school wrestler and achieved the rank of 2nd degree black belt in Goju Ryu Karate. Tammy holds a B.A. in Biology and MPH from Rutgers University. She is also an Army Veteran, she continues developing her martial arts skills while promoting women's fitness and self-defense.

Kevin Green
BJJ & MMA Instructor
Professor Kevin is an accomplished martial artist and retired professional fighter. He currently holds a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Fernando Yamasaki of #Yamasaki Academy BJJ . He is also trained in western boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, and is actively coaching several aspiring MMA fighters. Kevin holds a PhD. and is also an Army Veteran.

Nickolas Gouveia
Assistant BJJ Instructor
Nick has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for six years and has a background in Muay Thai and American boxing. With over a decade of experience in law enforcement, he currently serves as a detective for a midsize agency in Maryland and is a certified police combatives instructor through the state. His passion lies in sharing his knowledge and experience with those new to Jiu-Jitsu, helping them build confidence, skill, and a deeper understanding of the art. Whether you’re stepping onto the mats for the first time or looking to refine your technique, Nick is dedicated to creating a welcoming and effective learning environment for all.

Lloree Buni
Assistant Muay Thai Instructor
Lloree is a nurse by trade and has been training Muay Thai at Garuda Martial Arts for two years. She is also a certified Delaware State Kombat Taekwondo Head Referee.
